It is a list of the shops downtown and what is on. There is nothing to buy here and nothing to sign up for, so most of what usually goes on a page like this does not apply.
Last changed August 2026. If this page changes in a way that matters, it goes up under News as well.
The parts that actually matter.
Who writes the listings
Each business writes its own. Before one goes up the group checks that the shop is really downtown, and checks nothing else, so the hours and the phone number are the shop's to keep right.

- That it is a real business on John, Elgin or Madawaska.
- If it is wrong
- Tell us and it gets fixed, usually that week.
Hours and dates change
A shop can shut early for a funeral and an outdoor market can be rained off long after this page was written. If the trip depends on a shop being open, phone ahead.

The old photographs
The archive photographs come from Wikimedia Commons and each one carries its credit on the page it appears on. They belong to whoever took them, under whatever licence that credit names, and not to the group.

Copying what is here
Link to any page, quote a bit of it, print one out for a noticeboard at the arena. What is not on is taking the whole directory and republishing it as your own list, or running a scraper across it.

What this site does not promise.
- That a shop is openHours are what the shop told us, and shops change them.

- That a business is any goodThis is a list of who is here. It is not a review site and there are no ratings on it.
- That the site will be upOne volunteer and one hosting bill. It goes down sometimes.
- Anything about somebody else's websiteA link off this site is a link off this site, and what happens there is theirs.
None of that is a disclaimer written to get out of something. It is a plain description of a website run by shopkeepers between customers.

Your listing stays yours. Putting it on this site does not hand the group any rights over your name, your logo or your photographs, and nothing here gets licensed on to anybody else.
You can change it whenever you like, and you can take it down. Ask and it comes down that week, with no reason needed.
The group can take a listing down too, and there are two reasons that would happen: the business is no longer downtown, or the listing is being used for something other than describing the business. Either way somebody tells you first.
Being listed costs nothing in 2026 and there is no contract behind it. If that ever changes, every business gets told before it does, not after.
